Waygate Station
Sector ID: 9001 | OL: 1-10 | PvP: No
The first thing every pilot sees. Waygate Station is a sprawling neutral hub - no single race controls it, which means every race tolerates it. The station is old, added to constantly, and has the layered architectural chaos of something that was never designed to be this important. Varath corporate signage competes for wall space with Keth clan markings and Meridian crystalline inlays that nobody installed and nobody has been able to remove.
New pilots receive their commission here. The local mission board is thick with starter work: patrol contracts, courier runs, survey jobs for the nearby nav points. The Waygate itself - the ancient structure the station is built around - is the oldest known gate terminal in the network. The Varath have been studying it for two centuries and have learned almost nothing new in the last fifty years.
Key features: Main trading hub, mission board, all faction contacts, ship outfitters. The Waygate structure itself (Ancient, inert, studied).
Primary XP: All three equally - this is where players learn the system.
Mobs: Light - Void Drifters (lv 1-3) in the outer ring. Tutorial-level threat.
Lore note: The Waygate's architecture doesn't match any other gate terminal in the network. The Meridian who pass through here move past it quickly and don't make eye contact.
