Description
Beyond Orbit is a space MMO built for pilots who want a galaxy that remembers them. Explore 20+ sectors filled with dangerous encounters, run cargo through a living economy, mine valuable resources, and build your fortune across three races and six distinct classes.
Engage in tactical, tab-target combat using beams, missiles, and projectile weapons, with modern telegraphed mechanics and large-scale open-world boss encounters. Inspired by the cooperative spirit of Earth & Beyond, Beyond Orbit blends classic MMO depth with streamlined, accessible gameplay.
Whether trading, exploring, crafting, or fighting, every action contributes to your place in a persistent, shared universe.
History
I've been playing MMOs since I was a kid, and Earth & Beyond was my first foray into the genre. I spent countless hours playing as a Jenquai Defender and Explorer, and E&B had a unique charm that no game since has been able to capture for me.
Earth & Beyond shut down in 2004, and I've been waiting ever since for something to fill that gap. I've tried almost every space MMO that's come out since. None of them felt like the game I remembered. After about twenty years of waiting, I figured I'd stop waiting and just build it myself. That's Beyond Orbit. It's not a clone of Earth & Beyond, but it's built around the same things I loved about it: real exploration, a community you actually need, and a skill system with enough depth to argue about on forums.
