Redwatch

Sector ID: 9301 | OL: 42-55 | PvP: No

Formerly "The Verdant" - renamed in this document to align with Keth aesthetic.

A Keth border watch station established during the Independence to guard against Varath counterattack from the galactic rim. The counterattack never came, but the station stayed - and the Keth who staffed it over generations made it permanent. Redwatch is the Keth military's listening post and forward operating base for the deep frontier.

The name comes from the red emergency lighting the original garrison kept running continuously as a statement: we are always at readiness. Seventy years later it's tradition rather than tactical necessity, and the amber-red glow of Redwatch's station lights is visible from the gate approach.

Key features: Keth military forward base, intelligence missions (Explore XP for deep nav surveys), weapons testing range, gate toward Thornveil Deep.

Primary XP: Combat (frontier defense contracts), Explore (long-range nav surveys into the deep).

Mobs: Deep frontier predators (OL 40-52), rogue military drones from a decommissioned Varath outpost (OL 45-55), occasional pirate incursions.

Lore note: Redwatch's long-range sensors have picked up anomalous readings from the direction of The Throat for the past eight months. The intelligence report has been filed. It has not been acted on.
