Named for an industrial accident forty years ago that nobody in Varath corporate circles likes to discuss. A Stratum Corp reactor failure contaminated half the sector's usable asteroid belt and killed two hundred workers on the extraction platform that used to be here. The platform is still there - Stratum Corp couldn't afford to remove it and couldn't afford to admit what happened, so it sits in the debris field as a monument to the gap between corporate press releases and reality.

The sector has recovered economically but not entirely - the contaminated belt has produced mutations in the local organic life that make Ashfall's wildlife more dangerous than anything in Cinderhold. The undestroyed half of the belt is rich and contested.

Primary XP: Combat (mutated fauna, claim pirates), Explore (the platform has accessible logs - lore rewards), Trade (salvage, mining cargo).

Mobs: Contaminated fauna (OL 42-52), pirate salvagers (OL 45-55), occasional Stratum Corp security.

Lore note: The platform's logs, for pilots who dig deep enough, describe what the workers saw in the hours before the accident. The reactor failure may not have been mechanical.
